Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Our aim
This website is run by Anthony Sergeant (The Bespoke Humanist). I aim for the site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. The site has not yet been formally audited by an accessibility specialist, so this statement is based on a review of the website’s code and design, and I cannot promise it meets every requirement.
What has been done
- Pages use headings and navigation links in a logical order, and the page language is set to English.
- Form fields, including the contact form, have visible text labels.
- The menu, quiz, carousel arrows and form can be used with a keyboard, and the site has a “Skip to main content” link on these pages.
- Informative images have text descriptions, and the map has a title. Purely decorative photos are not announced by screen readers.
- The layout adapts to phones, tablets and computers.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, the website’s scrolling and fade-in animations are switched off.
- My phone number and email address are available as plain text, so you never need to use the website form to contact me.
Known limitations
- The reviews carousel on the home page changes automatically every few seconds. It pauses when you hover over it and can be moved with the arrow buttons or dots, but it does not yet have a dedicated pause button.
- Some of the soft pink accent colours and light backgrounds may not have enough contrast for everyone.
- The site has not been tested with a wide range of screen readers and other assistive technology.
- The Google Map is provided by Google, and I cannot control how accessible it is. My contact details are available as text if you would rather not use it.
